For a co-worker’s daugther’s 15th birthday, I made this chocolate cake with vanilla buttercream decorated with ribbon roses.
This one was my second fondant cake, I was so horrified by the first one, that I didn’t even take pictures. You know when you see a picture of a beautiful product and you tell yourself “I can do that” ? I tried replicating a Japanese cherry blossom cake that I saw online and ended up having to cover cracks with more and more blossoms… the final result was a cake covered in too many blossoms!
So this second cake was a milestone for me, no cracks to covered ….simple and sweet.
